Voca AI ("we", "us", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that provides AI-powered writing assistance — including grammar fixing, tone improvement, live chat translation, and smart reply generation — directly inside any text field on any website.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use the Voca AI Chrome Extension.

⚡ How Your Text is Processed
When you click an action button (Fix Grammar, Translate, Improve Tone, Write Reply), the text inside the active input field is sent only at that moment to our secure backend server for AI processing.
- We do not read your text passively. The extension only accesses text when you explicitly trigger an action.
- Text is not stored or logged. It is processed in real-time and the result is returned to you. We do not retain message contents.
- All requests are authenticated. Your text is sent alongside your secure auth token to ensure only you can use your account.
- Transport is encrypted. All data is sent over HTTPS/TLS.
🎯 How We Use Your Information
- Account management: To create and maintain your Voca AI account and keep you logged in.
- AI processing: To send your text to our AI model and return the improved result to you.
- Usage limits: To track how many AI actions you have used in the current billing period, in accordance with your subscription plan.
- Preferences: To remember your language and tone settings so you don't have to reconfigure them each time.
- Product improvement: Aggregated, anonymous usage counts (not content) may be used to improve the extension.
- Feedback: If you voluntarily submit feedback, we use it to improve the product.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Voca AI writing assistant service.
🔗 Third-Party Services We Use
- Supabase — Used for user authentication (sign-up, login, session management). Supabase stores your email address and account metadata. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Workers — Our AI backend runs on Cloudflare's edge network. Text you send for processing passes through Cloudflare's infrastructure. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay — Used to process payments for paid plans. Razorpay handles all payment data directly. We never see or store your card or bank details. See Razorpay Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Used to load the Inter and Outfit typefaces for the extension UI. Google may log the font request. See Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
🔒 Data Storage & Security
- Auth tokens and preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure
chrome.storageAPI and never transmitted unless needed for an AI request. - All communication between the extension and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Your account password is never stored by Voca AI — it is handled exclusively by Supabase's authentication system.
- Session tokens are automatically refreshed and expire. If you log out, all local tokens are immediately deleted.
⚖️ Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (email, name, usage counts).
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
- Correct inaccurate personal information in your account.
- Withdraw consent by uninstalling the extension — this removes all locally stored data immediately.
- Data portability — request an export of your account data.

🛡️ Children's Privacy
Voca AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
